Happy Full Moon in Leo!

On Sunday at 1:28 PM EST we have the Full Moon in Leo at 16°. Leo is all about being in the spotlight and embracing the inner leader. One of the things that have been coming up as the Moon grows fuller is needing to connect with the parts of us that are holding us back from truly being seen in all of our glory. How can we forgive our previous versions of ourselves as well as hold space for what has been coming up? Also, can we hold space and forgive others who have wronged us both consciously & unconsciously?

Forgiveness ≠ condoning.

Forgiveness is for you to heal & move forward.

Below, I’m sharing the energy of this Full Moon as well as the Moon Journal Prompts to help you harness this powerful energy. Full Moons are about endings, letting go, and receiving clarity for the next two weeks.

This Full Moon is asking us to embrace our quirks, even when and especially when it makes us uncomfortable. We can revisit the New Moon in Leo last year to see what has changed since then. The Sun in Aquarius and the Moon in Leo create a tense aspect with Uranus in Taurus. With Uranus moving direct, we’re faced with the reality of the inner work we’ve been working on during the 8 months it was retrograde. As I said before, what’s stopping you from showing up? The Sun in Aquarius shines a light on our inner environment, our emotions and innermost needs. With the Moon in Leo, how can we nurture the inner child that wants to be seen, heard and valued? Examine if you are in the correct physical environments that support your shine. Tune into the identity you want to embody so you can align with the opportunities and community necessary to get you there.

The Moon in Leo meets up with Mars in Gemini presenting an opportunity to make the changes necessary. Mars in Gemini is quick and flexible. It’s endlessly curious and witty— there’s potent energy to change your perspective and move in the direction of your desires. A key thing to keep in mind is that the Moon also forms a harmonious trine with Chiron in Aries which allows us to really dive into the wounding we have around showing up and asserting ourselves. Jupiter is close by so the work we do now can be magnified to our benefit or expanded against our wishes if we ignore what comes up.

Mercury in Capricorn creates a sextile to Neptune in Pisces providing a beneficial energy to dream up new systems and ways of being. It’s the muse we’ve been waiting for. Lean into this energy as we also have Venus in Pisces. It’s great for creative work and visualization practices.

Venus in Pisces forms a frustrating square to Mars in Gemini. Our values are being tested as we begin to take action on our goals. Any friction that comes up now is asking us to change gears a bit to find a common ground. Venus is tapped into the astral realm while Gemini is stuck on what’s being flashed in front of us. How can the two work together? My advice is to slow down and be present. Pick one thing to focus on and allow yourself to be surprised versus trying to Will things into existence.

Venus does make a helpful sextile with Uranus in Taurus which helps us align our values with the changing landscape in our society and world as a whole. Do you see any ways you could make a difference? What opportunities are there to bring unique but tangible solutions to your family, community, career and/or business?

Checking In With The Collective Energy

When I come up with the questions for the Moon Journal Prompts, I take into account the energy of the planets as well as the Collective energy via Oracle cards or Tarot cards.

For this lunation, I decided to use the Sacred Destiny Oracle Deck and Wild Unknown Archetypes Deck.

Sacred Destiny Oracle:

Sacred Destiny Oracle, Divination, oracle deck, Full Moon in Leo, Card Spread, Spirituality, Self-Love, Self-reflection, spiritual journey, enlightenment, energetic healing

Enlightenment:

Enlightenment occurs when one steps out of the confines of an ordinary definition of self and expands into a greater awareness of the self within the Universe. You are now reaching into the invisible realm of Spirit and connecting with what you cannot see. Forces beneath the surface are supporting you on your journey. Have faith in yourself.

Solitude:

spend some time alone. In your life, this means to take your own counsel, rather than relying on the opinions and dictates of others. Break away from the crowd. Be on your own. This card also speaks of self-resourcefulness, self-reliance, and tenacious individuality. This card also suggests safe haven, a sacred womb for incubation, and self-transformation.

Embracing:

Cherish the overflow of emotions, and embrace the times that seem murky, for your inner floodplains are being replenished, and as a result, there will be great spiritual and physical expansion.

This is such a special time! We are half way through Winter Solstice and halfway to Spring Equinox next month. Winter is seasonally a time for hibernation, recuperation and reflection. While in the modern world we still keep working, we can and should take moments of respite to get clear on where we are heading.

Wild Unknown Archetypes Deck:

wild unknown archetype oracle, the vow, energetic healing, self-love, self-acceptance, spiritual journey, energetic healing, full moon in leo, divination, oracle deck

Our words and intentions have immense Power. There is reason the great mythic stories of our past often include the recitation of oaths and the mixing of drops of blood as a mark of union. The tricky part is that reciting The vow (no matter how casually) activates the eternal and unseen forces of the world. The ancestors bear witness. The laws of nature respond. These promises cannot be Unsaid or forgotten, so breaking them can leave lingering complexities and loose ends. This card calls us to acknowledge The vow we are living by (consciously or unconsciously) and either recommit to it or create a citual that signifies its closure. You've been underestimating the power of your promises.“

When Light: Bearing witness is on the shift toward destiny

When Dark: Unconscious bows, unkept promises, messy karma

Moon journal prompts

Use these prompts to journal with or meditate on. If you’re like me, retreating to a quiet space in your home, putting on some background music like solfeggio frequencies or my new favorite, “Faith’s Hymn” by Beautiful Chorus, and lighting a candle or incense helps calm the mind and allows you to tune in to what’s trying to get your attention. (I link my favorite playlists from Apple Music so you can tune in).

Take care,
