Floor plan

Design Concept

She loves bold colors, Morrocan/Asian inspired art and decor, and comfortable furniture with clean lines.

background

My client, Bree, and her family changed coasts to California to purchase their dream home. Before actually moving in, lots of changes had to be made to the original layout, especially the stair railings leading to the second floor and the kitchen.

This space, the family room, opens up from the kitchen and features a fireplace, a cute little nook on the far end of the room, and an entrance to the backyard. At the time of our start of this project, Bree's kitchen was under construction so we had to visualize the space from our imagination and inspiration.

final design

This design is the perfect example of how artwork can truly inspire and pull a room together. She planned to purchase art from the artists HUSH and Victoria Topping and showed them to me just in time to be added into the layout renderings. Bold geometric patterns and color with sophisticated contemporary/eclectic style fuse all the things she loves to create a space for her family to hang out playing games or watching movies together for years to come.
